4 Measurement of physical parameter like Latitude, Longitude, Azimuth, Tilt, Height and BTS Configuration.
5 Primary optimization for verifying existing coverage, sites design objectives, pointing coverage holes.
6 Handling of interference issues by change of frequency, BTS power, antenna configuration, and fine tuning for functioning of the N/W at optimum levels.
7 Optimization by Antenna down tilt and reorientation.
8 Analyzing and report generation of drive test files using TEMS investigation, GENEX PROBE
9 Analyzing of weak coverage areas and providing solutions.
10 Collection of GPRS Testing (Data Drive) using TEMS Investigation 8.0 & GENEX PROBE in 1800 MHz Network.
11 Analyzing of BTS Swapping.
12 Defining the azimuth of antennas.
13 Planning tools like MAPINFO to determine network Problems, Poor Coverage.
14 Proposing New Site to Overcome Coverage Patches & filling Capacity areas.
15 Auditing of New Sites and Verifying Hardware, Tilt, Antenna height & Orientation according to the Planning Database.

Responsibilities as ERICSSON O&M Engineer: [BSS/NSS]
? Maintenance & operation activity's through OSS i.e. Handling and troubleshooting of day to day alarms/ Monitor Alarms & performance of Network.
? Maintenance & operation job with software & hardware configuration Ericsson MSS AXE-810 with APZ 212 60, APG 43 / Version R13.2, Ericsson BSC AXE-810 with APZ 212 55, APG 43 / Version 08B.
? Operation and maintenance of Switch for Alarms, faults/ abnormal conditions of MSC & BSC.
? Defining and changing of all type of MSC related data like B-Number Analysis Table, Route Analysis, IMSI number analysis , GT analysis, Routing Case Tables etc. as and when required.
? Performing CP and APG backup of Ericsson MSC and BSC's.
? Reconciliation of HLR subscriber data.
? Carrying out the required modifications/changes in the System data base.
? Clearing of APZ alarm's in Ericsson System.
? Operate RBS 2000 Series (BTS) maintenance procedures using the graphical software.
OMT (Operation & Maintenance Terminal).Main objectives are to
? Perform fault localization on RBS equipment with effective results.
? Perform simple repair procedures and replace faulty hardware unit successfully.
? Perform preventive maintenance on the RBS.
? Configure and install Installation Data Base, IDB using the OMT.
? Monitoring internal and external alarms using the OMT.
? Define various parameters such as TEI, ALNA/TMA, Alarm inlets, TF compensation, Delay, PCM etc.
? Preventive Maintenance and Health Check Monitoring of all the Network Nodes.
? Data Transcript (DT) loading i.e. checking various parameters of new sites from BSC end.
? Cascading of sites. TRX addition from OMC.
? Integration & call testing of BSC with MSC.
? Implementation and testing of Inter-national roaming.
? Working on improvement of KPI on day to day basis including RF parameter.
? Analysing & rectifying handover performance/ Neighbors defining & deletion.
? Support to Field engineers in resolving problems that arise during integration phase of the network .
? BCCH, BSIC, HSN, and various parameters defining using WINFIOL 7.0.
? Analyzing the history alarms, detecting the sites where no Power & Environmental alarms are being configured at yet and sending the recommendations.
? Swapping and New Site creation in OMC.
? Taking MO dumps and RL dumps on regular basis.
? Defining various parameters for integration of new sites, including defining cell info, neighbor defining etc.
? Handling and rectifying exchange alarms (APT, APZ, APG 40 related alarms) for MSC & BSC.
? Overseeing CCS7 signalling.
? Supervising software up gradation of different transmission equipment.
? Working on AXX operation and maintenance.
? Optimizing Processes of Configuration Management and integrating new site.
? Involved in BTS fault troubleshooting.
? Operation & Maintenance of NSN HLR, MPBN 7.0 & Verint LI System.
? Ensure Network availability with Network performance as per Corporate & TRAI Guidelines.
